Language

Manuscripts must be written in high-quality English (American or British, but not both).
Poor phrasing, grammatical errors, or typographical issues may result in immediate rejection during initial screening. Authors are encouraged to use professional editing services prior to submission.

Peer Review

The International Journal of Administration and Education applies a double-blind peer review system to ensure the objectivity and quality of the articles published.
All submitted manuscripts are evaluated based on their originality, academic contribution, methodological rigor, and relevance to the journal’s focus and scope.

The peer review process is conducted as follows:

  1. Initial Screening
Each submitted manuscript will be reviewed by the Editorial Team to ensure it meets the journal's focus, scope, author guidelines, ethical standards, plagiarism checks, and AI usage checks. This process takes 1-14 days. Manuscripts that don't meet these criteria may be rejected or returned for revision before review.
  2. Assignment to Reviewers
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be sent to two independent reviewers who are experts in their respective fields. The review process is double-blind, meaning both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout. This process takes 1-14 days.
  3. Review Evaluation
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on several aspects, including the clarity of objectives, theoretical foundation, methodological quality, data interpretation, contribution to the field, and writing quality.
Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, detailed feedback and make one of the following recommendations:
    • Accept
    • Revision Required
    • Resubmit for Review
    • Resubmit Elsewhere
    • Decline Submission
  4. Revision Process
Authors are given 1-14 days to revise their manuscripts based on the reviewers' comments. If they encounter any difficulties, they can request additional revision time. Revised manuscripts must be accompanied by a response letter explaining how each comment has been addressed.
  5. Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief or Section Editor evaluates the revised manuscript and reviewers’ reports to make the final decision: acceptance, further revision, or rejection.
The decision of the editor is final.
  6. Copy Editing
Once accepted, the manuscript enters the manuscript editing stage, which reviews grammar, consistency, and academic style.
  7. Letter of Acceptance (LoA)
After the copy editing process is completed, the Editorial Office issues an official Letter of Acceptance (LoA) to the corresponding author. The LoA is uploaded through the journal’s online system, and an automatic notification is sent to the author’s email via the system connected to the journal website.
  8. Layout and Proofreading
The copyedited manuscript is formatted into the final publication layout (PDF galley proof).
Authors are given the opportunity to review and approve the galley proof before final publication. This step ensures the accuracy of text, figures, tables, and references.
  9. DOI Assignment and Publication
After final approval, the manuscript is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and published online in the designated issue of IJAE.
The publication includes metadata registration with Crossref for DOI activation and long-term accessibility.
Declaration of Submission

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

  1. The work has not been previously published, except as a preprint or thesis.
  2. The manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere.
  3. All authors have approved the submission and publication.
  4. Accepted manuscripts will not be published elsewhere without written permission from JEDAL.

All submissions are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin.

Authorship and Changes in Authorship

The journal strictly regulates changes to authorship.

  1. Editors will generally not consider authorship changes after submission.
  2. Authors must carefully determine the order and list of authors before submitting.
  3. All authors must be listed in the manuscript and entered into the submission system.
  4. Addition, removal, or rearrangement of authors is strongly discouraged and only permitted with the editor’s approval.
  5. Changes after editorial acceptance will not be considered.

Procedures:

  1. The corresponding author must request the change, explaining the reason in writing.
  2. Written confirmation from all authors—including those added or removed—is required.
  3. Requests must use the official authorship-change form during manuscript revision.
  4. Requests that follow a different process will be rejected.
  5. Only in exceptional circumstances will the editor consider authorship changes after acceptance.
  6. Publication may be temporarily suspended while authorship changes are evaluated.
  7. Approved authorship changes after publication will result in a correction notice.
  8. Unauthorized changes may lead to article rejection or retraction.

Special cases:

  1. If an author passes away before or during the review process, the remaining authors may acknowledge them in the Acknowledgment section.
  2. If the deceased was the sole author, the manuscript will be withdrawn.
  3. If a co-author becomes incapacitated during review, publication will be delayed until their consent can be confirmed.
Generative AI Declaration

If authors used generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, or others), they must disclose this transparently.

  1. AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
  2. AI use must be supervised by humans.
  3. Authors remain fully responsible for verifying all AI-generated content.

Example statement:

“The authors used ChatGPT (OpenAI, version 5) to assist in improving the clarity and language of the manuscript under human supervision.”
