Peer Review Process

The International Journal of Administration and Education applies a double-blind peer review system to ensure the objectivity and quality of the articles published.
All submitted manuscripts are evaluated based on their originality, academic contribution, methodological rigor, and relevance to the journal’s focus and scope.

The peer review process is conducted as follows:

  1. Initial Screening
Each submitted manuscript will be reviewed by the Editorial Team to ensure it meets the journal's focus, scope, author guidelines, ethical standards, plagiarism checks, and AI usage checks. This process takes 1-14 days. Manuscripts that don't meet these criteria may be rejected or returned for revision before review.
  2. Assignment to Reviewers
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be sent to two independent reviewers who are experts in their respective fields. The review process is double-blind, meaning both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout. This process takes 1-14 days.
  3. Review Evaluation
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on several aspects, including the clarity of objectives, theoretical foundation, methodological quality, data interpretation, contribution to the field, and writing quality.
Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, detailed feedback and make one of the following recommendations:
    • Accept
    • Revision Required
    • Resubmit for Review
    • Resubmit Elsewhere
    • Decline Submission
  4. Revision Process
Authors are given 1-14 days to revise their manuscripts based on the reviewers' comments. If they encounter any difficulties, they can request additional revision time. Revised manuscripts must be accompanied by a response letter explaining how each comment has been addressed.
  5. Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief or Section Editor evaluates the revised manuscript and reviewers’ reports to make the final decision: acceptance, further revision, or rejection.
The decision of the editor is final.
  6. Copy Editing
Once accepted, the manuscript enters the manuscript editing stage, which reviews grammar, consistency, and academic style.
  7. Letter of Acceptance (LoA)
After the copy editing process is completed, the Editorial Office issues an official Letter of Acceptance (LoA) to the corresponding author. The LoA is uploaded through the journal’s online system, and an automatic notification is sent to the author’s email via the system connected to the journal website.
  8. Layout and Proofreading
The copyedited manuscript is formatted into the final publication layout (PDF galley proof).
Authors are given the opportunity to review and approve the galley proof before final publication. This step ensures the accuracy of text, figures, tables, and references.
  9. DOI Assignment and Publication
After final approval, the manuscript is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and published online in the designated issue of IJAE.
The publication includes metadata registration with Crossref for DOI activation and long-term accessibility.
Publication Frequency

The International Journal of Administration and Education (IJAE) is published four times a year, in March, June, September, and December.

All manuscripts submitted to IJAE are checked using Turnitin before review.
