PEER REVIEW PROCESS

1. Overview

INSPIRE: Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Perspectives applies a structured peer review process to maintain the academic quality, originality, relevance, and integrity of published articles. Each submitted manuscript is evaluated through editorial assessment and scholarly peer review before a final publication decision is made.

2. Peer Review Workflow

 Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their manuscript through the journal's designated submission system in accordance with the INSPIRE Author Guidelines.

 Initial Editorial Screening
The editorial team checks the manuscript for scope, basic academic quality, originality, completeness, ethical considerations, and compliance with the journal's submission requirements.

 Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are sent to appropriate reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area of the manuscript.

 Peer Review
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on its academic contribution, originality, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, relevance, discussion, conclusions, references, and overall scholarly quality.

 Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers' comments and the editorial assessment, the manuscript may be accepted, returned for revision, or rejected.

 Revision and Final Decision
When revisions are requested, authors must respond to the reviewers' comments and submit a revised manuscript. The revised manuscript may be evaluated again before the final editorial decision.

 Production and Publication
Accepted manuscripts proceed to the editorial and publication stages before being published in an issue of INSPIRE.
3. Review Criteria
Originality
The manuscript presents an original contribution to knowledge.
Relevance
The topic is relevant to the focus and scope of INSPIRE.
Methodological Rigor
Research methods are appropriate, transparent, and adequately described.
Academic Quality
Arguments, analysis, discussion, and conclusions are academically sound.
Clarity
The manuscript is clearly organized and presented in appropriate academic language.
References
Relevant and appropriate scholarly references support the manuscript.
4. Reviewer Responsibilities
  • Provide objective, constructive, and evidence-based comments.
  • Evaluate manuscripts within their area of expertise.
  • Maintain confidentiality throughout the review process.
  • Identify relevant weaknesses, methodological concerns, and areas requiring clarification.
  • Identify potential ethical concerns or substantial similarities with previously published work.
  • Declare any potential conflict of interest before undertaking the review.

5. Author Responsibilities During Review
  • Submit original work that has not been published elsewhere.

6. Possible Editorial Decisions
Decision Description

Minor Revision The manuscript requires limited revisions before a final publication decision.
Major Revision The manuscript requires substantial revision and may undergo further evaluation.
Reject The manuscript is not considered suitable for publication in INSPIRE.

Manuscripts under review are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers and editorial team members are expected to protect the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and to avoid using unpublished information obtained through the review process for personal or professional purposes.
