PUBLICATION ETHICS
INSPIRE: Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Perspectives

The publication ethics of INSPIRE: Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Perspectives are established to uphold integrity, transparency, accountability, fairness, and responsibility throughout the scholarly publishing process. All parties involved in the publication process are expected to comply with the principles of responsible scholarly publishing.

1. Neutrality: Freedom from conflicts of interest throughout the publication process.
2. Fairness: Respecting and protecting the author's right to claim authorship of their work.
3. Honesty: Ensuring that publications are free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P).
Duties and Responsibilities of the Publisher
  1. Determine the journal title, research scope, publication period, and accreditation status when applicable.
  2. Organize and establish the membership of the editorial board.
  3. Define the relationships and responsibilities among the publisher, editors, reviewers, authors, and other parties involved in the publication process.
  4. Respect and maintain confidentiality concerning authors, editors, reviewers, and other contributors.
  5. Implement policies and provisions concerning intellectual property rights, particularly copyright.
  6. Develop journal policies and communicate them clearly to authors.
  7. Establish ethical guidelines for editors and reviewers.
  8. Publish the journal regularly according to the established publication schedule.
  9. Ensure the availability of adequate funding to maintain the continuity of journal publication.
  10. Develop appropriate networking and journal promotion strategies.
  11. Prepare and maintain the necessary permits and other legal requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Editor
  1. Meet the needs and expectations of readers and authors.
  2. Continuously strive to improve the quality of the journal and its publications.
  3. Implement appropriate procedures to ensure the quality of published manuscripts and articles.
  4. Promote freedom of academic expression objectively and responsibly.
  5. Maintain the integrity of the author's academic record.
  6. Issue corrections, clarifications, retractions, or apologies when necessary.
  7. Be responsible for the style and presentation of published manuscripts, while the content and statements contained in the manuscripts remain the responsibility of the authors.
  8. Actively seek opinions and suggestions from authors, readers, reviewers, and editorial board members to improve the quality of publications.
  9. Promote appropriate scholarly evaluation of research findings submitted to the journal.
  10. Support efforts to reduce research and publication errors by requiring authors to provide ethical approval documentation when applicable.
  11. Participate in initiatives to educate researchers and authors about publication ethics.
  12. Assess the impact of publication policies on authors and reviewers and improve such policies to increase accountability and minimize errors.
  13. Remain open to new ideas and perspectives, including those that may differ from personal views.
  14. Do not impose personal views or the views of authors or third parties in ways that may result in subjective editorial decisions.
  15. Encourage authors to make constructive improvements to their manuscripts so that they meet the journal's publication standards.
Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers
  1. Review manuscripts assigned by the editorial board and provide recommendations to the editor regarding their suitability for publication.
  2. Decline to review manuscripts when there is a direct or indirect conflict of interest.
  3. Maintain the confidentiality of the authors and the review process, including comments, suggestions, and recommendations.
  4. Encourage authors to improve the quality and clarity of their manuscripts.
  5. Evaluate manuscripts objectively and according to the journal's established review standards.
  6. Complete manuscript reviews within the prescribed time and assess the manuscript according to relevant scientific standards, including research methods, ethical approval where applicable, data collection, analysis, conclusions, and other relevant aspects.
Duties and Responsibilities of Authors
  1. Ensure that all listed authors meet the journal's authorship requirements.
  2. Take collective responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the article, including its methods, analysis, calculations or measurements, and supporting details.
  3. Clearly disclose all relevant sources of financial and non-financial support, whether direct or indirect.
  4. Clearly acknowledge the limitations of the research and manuscript.
  5. Respond professionally and within the required timeframe to comments, corrections, and recommendations provided by reviewers and editors.
  6. Notify the editor promptly if they wish to withdraw their manuscript from the publication process.
  7. Provide a statement confirming that the manuscript is original, has not been previously published by another publisher or in another language, and is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal or publisher.
