The Journal of Educational Development and Learning (JEDAL) is an open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal published by ASHA Publishing, Indonesia.
The journal publishes original research articles, conceptual papers, and literature reviews in the field of education and learning innovation, aiming to promote the development of educational theory, policy, and practice at national and international levels.

JEDAL serves as a platform for researchers, educators, and practitioners to exchange ideas and findings related to the design, management, and improvement of educational processes in both formal and non-formal settings.

Focus and Scope

The Journal of Educational Development and Learning (JEDAL) welcomes manuscripts within (but not limited to) the following areas:

  2. Learning model development and innovation
  3. Educational technology and digital learning
  4. Quality improvement in teaching and learning
  5. Development of instructional materials and learning media
  6. Learning needs analysis and evaluation

Open Access Policy

All articles published in JEDAL are available under an open access policy.
This means that the full content is freely accessible to anyone, without subscription or access fees.
Readers are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, or link to the full texts of the articles.

JEDAL operates under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
This license allows anyone to share (copy and redistribute) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon) the material for any purpose, even commercially, as long as appropriate credit is given to the original author and the source.

Peer Review Process

All submissions to JEDAL undergo a double-blind peer review process.
Each manuscript is first screened by the editorial team to ensure its relevance, quality, and compliance with ethical standards.
Manuscripts that pass initial screening are sent to at least two reviewers for evaluation.
Decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ recommendations, resulting in one of the following outcomes: Accepted, Revision Required, or Rejected. For more details, please access Peer Review Process

Publication Frequency

The Journal of Educational Development and Learning (JEDAL) is published three times a year:

  • Issue 1: August
  • Issue 2: December
  • Issue 3: April
Plagiarism Screening

All manuscripts submitted to JEDAL are checked using Turnitin before review.
Manuscripts with a similarity index of 20% or higher (excluding references) will be returned to authors for revision or rejected.

Archiving Policy

The Journal of Educational Development and Learning (JEDAL) utilizes the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to ensure secure and permanent digital preservation of all published content.
This ensures that the journal’s archives remain accessible even if the website or database becomes unavailable.

Journal History

The Journal of Educational Development and Learning (JEDAL) published its first issue in August 2024 under ASHA Publishing, Indonesia.
The journal received its ISSN registration on September 23, 2024, and was indexed in GARUDA (Garba Rujukan Digital) in October 2024.
